Somali journalist Ahmed Osman Ali “lafoole”who was watching the match said that both teams exhibited an interesting game with high tactics and as a result the first half of the match ended in 0-0.
The journalist noted that in the second half the Somali community team made big changes and happened to score a very beautiful goal. Striker Abdulkader Dhuhul scored the lone goal for the Somali community team and the match ended in 1-0 in favour of the Somali community team.
Shafi’i Nur Alas who is the first secretary of the Somali embassy in South Sudan told the media that the importance of the match was to encourage integrations between the different communities living in South Sudan. Somali Football Federation Secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab praised the Somali community in that country for the good organization in terms of football promotion.
“Because of the insecurity in our country un countable number of Somalis fled everywhere in the world, but as long as they are refugees in the outside world they are still doing their best in the field of promoting Somali football” said secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab who sent a congratulatory message to the Somali diplomatic mission in South Sudan and in generally to the Somali community members there. “We have Somali Football coaches there and we are very hopeful that in the years to come some members from the Somali community in Juba will join the national team” Somali football Federation secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab said in a statement on Tuesday.
He sent a particular message to the Somali ambassador in Juba demanding him to give a great attention to the promotion of Somali football there. “However they are refugees they are still acting on the behalf of their country and we expect a tangible outcome from there so we urge the Somali diplomatic mission to give them all possible assistances to help them promote our football there” secretary General Abdi Qani Said Arab said in his Tuesday’s press statement.
