Sunday’s match has attracted the biggest number of spectators yet to be seen at the stadium since the schools’ football tournament kicked off here last Thursday.
“This is the second match we have had since the start of the competition and my boys are victorious—I am very hopeful to win the trophy” Ma’mur school principal Feisal Abdullahi Yusuf told Somali Football Media Department after confirming that his young boys have come through to the semifinal.
On Saturday Mogadishu Primary and secondary school boys drew with their Hamar boarding school rivals. Yesterday’s match was very competitive and ended in 2-2 equality.
But on Friday Gaheyr school boys defeated their Al-Bushra opponents by 2 goals to nothing in a hotly-contested match which also attracted a big number of fans. The victorious Ma’mur boys are now leading the tournament with 6 points.
According to the fixtures of the tournament two matches will be held on Monday. The first match will be between Al Masal Madina and Al-bushra, while in the second match Horseed school will encounter Hamar Boarding school.
