Somali soccer fans celebrate for 11-4 goals victory over Senegal

Scores of Somali football fans have been celebrating for the golden victory by the nation’s beach soccer squad over its Senegal rivals during a hotly contested game held in Lausanne.


The friendly beach soccer contest which was administered by experts from Beach soccer world wide was held for both teams on June 21st as
Somalia’s soccer squad beat its wrestlers of Senegal by 11-4 goals.

 

Secretary of Somali football federation Sir Abdi Qani Said Arab told reporters in Amsterdam that Somali players had shown great talent, activeness and fair play during the friendly game.

 

The general secretary said that since 2007 Somalia has developed its beach soccer in and outside the country and he described this as part of the joint efforts and dedication by the Somali football family members in and outside the war-devastated country.

 

Somalia is currently under preparation for the qualifying competition of the upcoming Africa’s beach soccer match. Sir Abdi Qani said that his federation is very hopeful to be in a high rank in the African continent’s beach soccer games.

 

Manager of Somali national beach soccer squad was Mohamed Ahmed who told Somali reporters in Lausanne that Somali beach soccer players have made a tangible development in the past.

 

“We hope to be more talented and more powerful than we currently are” the manager told reporters.
