Hosts Banadir have ensured their place in the semi-finals of the ongoing Somali inter State football tournament after beating Shir-Shabelle 1-0 on Tuesday.
"We have played well and I am confident that my team was good. The goal against us was from a penalty kick and I am hopeful we can win next match” Lash who coaches Hir-Shabelle said in a post-match press conference. "I know Thursday’s match is do or die for us, so we need to win and we will make it insha Allah” he added.

Banadir was awarded with a penalty kick in the 32ndminute of the match. Ayub Mohamed Abdi is the scorer of the winning goal for
Banadir. On Thursday Hir-Shabelle will meet Gal-Mudug in what will
be a final match for both teams, as only the winner of that match will qualify
for the semi-finals.
"I cannot exactly predict what will happen, but we have
high hopes to win the tournament. We are already in the semis” Banadir’s Coach
Dadir Amin, told a post-match press conference.
