Training course for referees in Puntland State comes to an end.

Somali Football Federation, has concluded a training course for new referees in the Puntland State of Somalia that continued from 10th -16th November 2020 and held in the regional capital of Garowe


The training course which was part of the nationwide football development programme for the year, has attracted some 35 young men from different cities and towns in the Puntland State.

Somali Football Federation vice president for regional development, Abdullahi Sheik Nor Ahmed, who addressed at the closing ceremony for the training course overnight on Monday, said that the SFF will closely watch at the situation of the newly-trained referees to see if they are regularly exercising what they have learned over the past seven days.



"The work of Somali Football Federation doesn’t sound that we train people and leave them there. You are the assets of Somali Football Federation and we will continue to develop your knowledge and experience until you get to the highest point in your field and in return the efforts you do are the most important for you to be there” Somali Football Federation vice president for regional development, Abdullahi Sheik Nor Ahmed, told the newly-trained referees become announcing the closure of the 7-day refereeing course.

The course was conducted by top refereeing instructors and former FIFA referees: Dr. Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud and Abdi Abdulle Ahmed, while regional development committee coordinator, Hussein Mahmoud Jimaale, was monitoring the process. Thanks to SFF media officer Omar Ibrahim Abdisalam, for his constant and fantastic work during the course.
