Somali Football Federation, has today October 24, 2021 launched a 5-day FIFA youth coaching course for Somalia, the second FIFA level course to be held in the country in less than two weeks.

The high level course brings together some 30 youthful coaches from across the country who will be undergoing theory and practical sessions in the next five days to equip them with the best coaching tactics and knowledge to help them get the competence they need to produce and develop young and talented footballers for the country.

The training course is being conducted by FIFA coaching instructor, Ulric Mathiot (Seychelles) who will be assisted by local instructors as assigned by the Somali Football Federation technical development committee.

The launching of the FIFA youth coaching course comes two days after another FIFA grassroots coaching course for Somalia has come to an end, while some other 30 coaches had benefited from it. The course was also conducted by the same FIFA expert Ulric Mathiot (Seychelles), who has been teaching Somali coaches since 2009.

As Somali Football Federation is committed to increasing the number of young people involved in the game, the organization of more coaching courses in the country is a top priority in the development scheme of Somali Football Federation.
