Somali government has congratulated Mr. Arab for retaining his CECAFA executive committee seat for the sixth term. "On behalf of the federal government of Somalia and on my behalf, I congratulate Somali FA president, Abdiqani Sadi Arab on his re-election as CECAFA Exco member. This is another successful moment for the entire Somalia" the minister Honorable Khadija Mohamed Diriye Said in a Statement.

"Somalia is going ahead and is recovering from years of lawlessness. In my capacity as a minister, I announce that the ministry is committed to promoting the country’s sport n general and soon Somalia will make a full comeback” Honorable minister, Khadija Mohamed Diriye, said in a statement on Saturday.
