Somalia's minister for youth and sports, Honorable Khadija Mohamed Diriye, announced that the government has donated a portion of land to the Somali Football Federation.
"A new dawn has started for Somalia. The country is moving ahead and there is no turning back and the progress will continue. Somalia has made a comeback and the Somali Football federation has a huge position in the country’s recovery” the minister said as she sat next to Somali Football Federation president, Abdiqani Said Arab.
She said that the piece of
land is where the Somali Football Federation will soon start the construction
of its own headquarters. "The SFF is doing a palpable job in the country and
they have been operating in rented offices for decades, but I am happy that
soon the SFF will have its own headquarters” Honorable Khadija Mohamed Diriye,
told the reporters on Monday.
"We have been attracted by
the appreciable job the Somali Football Federation is doing. They achieved a
lot and we came to decision to help them as much as we can and as a minister I
am fully committed to be by their side” Honorable Khadija Mohamed Diriye,
accentuated.
