Lesotho’s Football Association (LEFA) will host week-long Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Futuro III administration course starting from 19 April at Mohale Lodge, some102 km from the capital Maseru.

LEFA Chief Executive Officer, Mokhosi Mohapi, on Friday said the objective of the course was to train and equip administrators from the Council of Southern Africa Football Association (COSAFA) and
East Africa with relevant skills of the beautiful game.

“I believe that the move is the right direction towards improving the image of football in our region…if we have to have many qualified administrators in the game,” he said.

Mohapi said Lesotho, as hosts, will have more participants taking part in the course, adding that if the event is a success, FIFA is likely to host many big events in the country.

Facilitators of the course will be the FIFA Development Officer in the region, Ashford Mamelodi, who is based in Botswana, assisted by Frederick Mgomezulu from Swaziland, while the participants will be 35 football administrators from COSAFA and East Africa.

The FIFA Futuro III Administration course is the first one of its nature to be staged in the country.
