The president of the Confederation of African Football [CAF] Dr. Patrice Motsepe, has extended felicitations to the newly-elected president of Somali Football Federation, Mr. Ali Abdi Mohamed and his executive committee members.

Dr. Motsepe said he is pleased by the fact that Somali Football Federation Congress members entrusted president Ali Abdi Mohamed, with a new mandate to serve the country.

"It is my pleasure that I express my most sincere congratulations on your election as the president of Somali Football Federation following the election which took place on Wednesday 22^nd of February 2023 in Mogadishu” CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe said in his congratulatory message.

He added that the president’s election was an indication of the trust and confidence of SFF members in the new president’s leadership.

"Congratulations to the members of your executive committee who were also elected with you. I wish you and your executives the best during the new period of your leadership” CAF president said in the congratulatory message.
