The president of Djibouti Football Federation and Vice President of the confederation of African Football (CAF) Mr Souleiman Hassan Waberi, has sent a condolence message to Somalia over the death of football administrator and former FIFA referee, Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud.
Mr Waberi, who wrote to Somali football Federation, said that he felt heart-broken after hearing the sad news of the death of Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud.
" I have known him for more than 25 years, he was my closest friend in Somali football. I am sorry to have lost a great friend and a very fine man” CAF Vice President and the president of Djibouti football federation, Mr Souleiman Hassan Waberi, said in his condolence message.
"Please pass my condolence to the family and friends of my brother Hassan Mohamed Mahmoud and to the entire Somali people” Mr Waberi said in a message he sent to Somali football federation.
He added that he was overcome with grief after the news of the late Hssan’s death was announced tonight.
