Somalia's State minister for youth and sport, his Excellency Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Ali, has praised Somali Football Federation, for accomplishing a stupendous task to develop football in the country.
"The main objectives for organising such a tournament is to encourage public integration and create a fraternizing opportunity for people living in different regions across the country” State minister for youth and sport his Excellency Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Ali, stated during his address.
He continued "Somalia greatly needs the continuation of sporting events, because sport makes connections between people, so I would like to take this opportunity to commend Somali Football Federation for the immense task it has been and still doing for the country”.
State minister for youth and sport his Excellency Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Ali, added that other benefits of sport include but not limited to: turning the attention of youths from the use of drugs, getting involved in violence or from falling into the hands of criminals.
"Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed and prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble, both love sport very much and I, the State minister for youth and sport have been playing football since my childhood, so we are all sports lovers and I declare that Somali government is ready to play a key role in the promotion of sport in Somalia” State minister for youth and sport his Excellency Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Ali, emphasized, before inviting ex internationals: Bashir Elmi Mohamed, Aweys Muse Arbow, and Ahmadey Hilowle to carry out the draw process.

While addressing at the official draw ceremony for the
2020 edition of Somali Inter-State football tourney on Sunday evening, State minister
for youth and sport, his Excellency Mohamed Haji Ibrahim Ali, said that Somali
sporting associations have played a key role in peace building in the country.
"Tonight it is a great honour for me to launch the
official draw ceremony for the inter-State football competition and I announce
December 15 as the kick off date for the event” the State minister for youth and sport, his Excellency Mohamed Haji Ibrahim
