Somali military sports club, Horseed SC together with Geeska Afrika, Gaadiidka and Mogadishu CC have qualified for the semi-finals of the General Da'ud Cup, 2019 edition.
Sponsored by Somali National Army, General Da’ud has been an annual football event in Somalia since 1972 and it is the second most competitive sporting tournament in Somalia.
Horseed Sports Club devastated Raaddsan FC 4-1 on Friday
to book their place in the semi-finals of the prestigious football competition,
while Gaadiidka FC eliminated Jazeera SC 2-1 on Thursday. Mogadishu CC humiliated Sahafi FC 3-0 on
Wednesday.
In the first match of the semi-finals, Mogadishu CC will
clash Geeska Africa on Sunday November 17, while Gaadiidka FC will encounter
Horseed SC on Monday followed by two resting days. The annual competition which is held in the commemoration
of the founder of Somali National Army General Da’ud Abdulle is scheduled to
come to an end on Thursday 21st of November 2019.
