Dekedda Sports Club has won Somalia's Super Cup match after hammering its rivals, the Mogadishu City-funded Banadir sports Club 3-0 on Wednesday 30th of January 2019.
Somali FA president Abdiqani Said Arab and Mayor of Somali capital Mogadishu Abdirahman Omar Osman whose administration finances Banadir SC and other officials from the city’s municipality were watching Wednesday’s match.
Banadir tried to fight hard in the very early few minutes
of the match, but they were shocked when Abbaas Amin Mohamed No 14 touched
their net in the 43rd minute to end the first half of the match 1-0
in favor of Dekedda SC.
Three minutes after the start of the second half Akram
Hakemo Musa, scored the second goal for Dekedda before Toafic Zakari, made it
3-0 causing Banadir fans to lose hopes and leave the stadium as they were
unable to wait for the end of the match. One fan said "I don’t have to wait to
the end—I have to leave the stadium before I witness the fourth goal against my
team”.
