Dekedda Sports Club is in its final preparations for the first CAF Champions League match that a team from Somalia plays in 30 years.
Dekedda Sports Club and its Egyptian counterpart decided to play their two matches in Egypt as Somalia is not currently ready for hosting international competitions. The first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions league clash will take place on Friday at the Petro sport Stadium. Somali Football Federation delegation in Egypt is headed by executive committee member, Engineer Abdisamad Sheik Qasim.

Dekedda SC players who have been training in Egypt for
the past several days are now in their final preparations ahead of their clash
against the Egyptian giants, Zamalek.
"The team has been actively engaged in advanced training sessions.
They trained at different grounds to be familiar with the weather in Egypt and
we are hopeful they can make positive results” said Abdalla Mahmmoud Hersi, SFF
executive Committee member who is traveling with the team.
